Bridging Gaps – Building Strengths
At Four Bridges Psychology, we provide compassionate, evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic services, for Children, Adolescents and Adults who are seeking to explore their Neurodiversity.
To ensure that you receive the most accurate information from the start of your journey with us, we provide Preliminary Diagnostic Assessments, to determine whether a full diagnostic assessment is the most appropriate pathway for you and/or your Child/Young Person.
When the need for a full diagnostic assessment is indicated, we support you and/or your Child/Young Person through our comprehensive assessment processes. Our assessment packages not only enable us to reach diagnostic conclusions but enable a greater understanding of individual strengths as well as needs. Finally, our person-centred recommendations aim to support you and/or your Child/Young Person to feel empowered to progress.
We openly celebrate and respect Diversity, in all its forms, whether our differences may be Neurological, Personal, Cultural etc, our Practice is a welcoming space where everyone feels valued and included.
We create a safe, non-judgemental space where individuals feel heard, respected and supported. Understanding each person’s unique journey is at the core of our practice.
We are committed to honesty, transparency and ethical practice. Trust is the foundation of meaningful therapeutic relationships and we work hard to earn and maintain it.
We focus on fostering resilience, helping individuals not just manage challenges but also grow through them, discovering their potential along the way.
We help individuals build confidence, develop self-awareness and advocate for themselves; whether in Personal, Academic or Professional environments.
Beyond therapy sessions, we provide strategies and tools that make a real difference in daily life; support that’s not just theoretical but actionable and effective.
I am incredibly grateful for the support and expertise provided by Anne-Marie who worked with my son. Her thorough assessment and deep understanding of his needs, identified that his struggles in school were linked to communication and interaction challenges, stemming from his diagnosis of ASD. This insight was invaluable in helping me better understand the root causes of his emotional needs and difficult behaviour.
The clear strategies for improvement came with much relief. One key recommendation was revising his Individual Education Plan (IEP), as the existing plan lacked sufficient detail and did not focus on his strengths. Anne-Marie emphasised the importance of incorporating the Pomodoro approach and scaffolding, to help with focus and task completion.
With these insights and suggestions in hand, I was able to collaborate with my son’s school to implement these changes. The results have been remarkable—my son’s focus, academic achievement, and overall behaviour have all significantly improved and we have a much happier household!
I can’t thank Anne Marie enough for her support and her patience! Having recently been diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, Anne Marie has massively helped me navigate my life by providing me with awareness and understanding of why I show up in the world the way I do. I now know that there is nothing wrong with me, I just have a different way of doing things!
My life used to be very difficult to manage, especially organising daily tasks and concentrating on tasks that I do not particularly find interesting. Anne Marie was able to help me become aware of why I was hyper focused on things that I enjoy doing, and why I found it difficult to focus on tasks that I did not enjoy.
I always found it took a huge monumental effort to complete tasks, especially everyday mundane tasks. With Anne-Marie’s help, I now understand myself better and I now have strategies that work for me and make these tasks a lot easier and less stressful!
My relationships have also improved!
